17 - Curzon House and Bag Lane
Curzon House used to be one of the significant houses of the village at the end of what was Bag Lane. It was owned and occupied by the Sheppard family before they moved into the Manor House. It had a heavy wood entrance gate and the house itself was surrounded by a small wood. The house and 17 acres of land were sold in 1958 to a private developer who built what is now know as Curzon Street estate.
